Primacoustic Stratus Broadband Ceiling Cloud (Single Panel)
The Primacoustic Stratus is an absorptive ceiling cloud that's ideally suited to hanging above the listening position to control early reflections and flutter echo. Use the Stratus to help create a reflection free zone (RFZ) at your listening position, which will dramatically increase clarity for mixing and critical listening.
The Stratus ships in kit-form and can easily be assembled in minutes using a screw driver. The kit includes a single 2-inch thick, 24″ x 48″ acoustic panel with all the necessary installation hardware. The suspension hardware consists of two lightweight aluminum rails and “L” brackets that form a rigid frame around the panel and allow multiple panels to be joined together. It's a modular ceiling cloud system that can expand to meet your needs.
Typically, the Stratus would be suspended above the console and clustered in an array of three (as shown) to span the width of your console or listening area.
On its own, the 2-inch thick fiberglass panel is an effective broadband absorber from 400 to 4500+ Hz. To help control a broader frequency spectrum, the Stratus may be angled to vary the air space between the panels and the ceiling. This air space helps the Stratus absorb lower frequencies, while the tilt increases the effective surface area by letting the back surface absorb reflections off the ceiling.
