The BAD Panel (formally called a Binary Amplitude Diffsorber) is a flat hybrid surface constructed from a porous absorber faced with a hard perforated mask, covered with fabric. The perforations form a binary pattern which has been numerically optimized to provide diffusion at higher frequencies, a combination of diffusion and absorption between 1-2 kHz, and pure absorption below 1 kHz. The brilliantly simple design is based on a mathematical process patented by RPG.

Thanks to the BAD panel you no longer need to add excessive high frequency absorption (which would render your room acoustically dead) to get a precisely controlled environment.
